Thanks to the adjustable frame feet, the hive stand can be adapted to any terrain. The beekeeper can easily bring the bee colonies to their desired working height. The quick and uncomplicated assembly is a great advantage, especially for migratory beekeepers. But home beekeepers will also enjoy this hive stand.
Aufbau und Hardware
I will not use any dimensions for the construction instructions for the hive stand, as it can be built very easily for the desired number of colonies and the corresponding hive dimensions. The length of the support beam results from the number of bee colonies times the hive width plus about 3 cm reserve per bee colony. The length of the cross boards corresponds to the hive length plus approx. 10 cm for the assembly of the approach board. For the cross boards I use wood with a width of 10 cm and a thickness of 4 cm. The scaffolding feet should have a length of 50 cm so that the hive stand can still be leveled accordingly even on a slope.
To ensure that the hive stand has sufficient stability, grooves are milled into the support beams for the crossbars. I get the center of the groove when I measure the width of a bee colony plus 5 cm from the edge of the support beam. This is then also the center of the hole for the scaffold foot. The diameter of the hole is 40 mm.
The hive stand can now be assembled in a few steps and without tools. But if you want to bring the stand exactly into the horizontal, you have to have a spirit level at hand.
